Our thoughts are with the entire extended Bothell family. Floyd will be missed by so many people. I always look back with a smile on my face thinking about sitting with John and Floyd in the maintenance barn, and talking about anything and everything. Floyd had a very gentle and special way about him.

As a youth, I recall Floyd as a well-liked and respected neighbor. Later, in my career as the Johnson County Assessor, he was unforgettable as the only person I recall who insisted on paying back tax on a building that had not been assessed due to an error. Such honesty was unique.

I wish to offer my condolences. My grandmother was Susie Schuessler, and I remember her friendship with Julia Bothell and mentioning Floyd.
I will be thinking about you all this week.
I am retired in Florida and have genealogy on the Bothell family. Would love to connect with you sometime in the future.

As the youngest first cousin, Floyd was always interested in how my family and I were doing. At cousin reunions it was always special to see him and his great smile. One of the kindest comments Floyd made to me was how proud my dad would have been of me if he had been with me as an adult. His many stories about my dad helped me understand how important he was to my cousins and our family. My family was always interested in how he and Barb were doing and will so miss seeing him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We just received the news from Susan. We are so very sorry. He was with you a long time, though. I have fond memories of spending time with Susan and you both in your home as a child. I'm glad he was able to keep active. Much love and regards, Jean and Larry Dorsey

Dear Family,
Floyd will be missed dearly. He was a true gentleman, a kind man. I believe he is in Heaven with my Dad in their new heavenly bodies where no one is old and no one wears glasses. I have just finished reading a book, "Heaven is for Real" that I recommend you also read. We will see each other again in Heaven. Floyd and Dad are getting to know Jesus on a whole different and wonderful level. We cannot be sad for them. We will see them again!
I love you all. You are my friends.

Our sympathy and prayers go out to you and your family. Floyd was such a hardworking, caring person. We remember his visits to Dad and how much Les enjoyed talking and sharing stories with Floyd. It meant a lot to all of us that he took the time out of his busy schedule to stop and cheer on an old friend. Floyd will be miss by his friends and family. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
