Carol was a good friend of mine. She is the reason I am a redhead still today.When she was in beauty school, she and I decided I should go red. My dad always thought of me as a redhead,so he didn't see any difference. After over 50 years I am still a redhead...She is remembered fondly.

I have such wonderful memories of Carol and her laugh and her helpfulness always. WHat a woman...and she shared daisies from her yard. Nothing like a friendship garden! I know you are all missing her terribly. Couragious, contagious and wonderful woman that she was. May we grow like her!

My deepest condolences to Carol's Family and close Friends. I worked with Carol at the UICCU, after I moved from the Iowa Avenue branch to the Mormon Trek branch I enjoyed stopping in and catching up with Carol. When I was a teller at the Iowa Avenue branch, and I would get the occasional member that didn't seem to want to leave, Carol was always there on the intercom stating I had a urgent phone call. I also remember the day I went out to Carol and Don's home to help them with their computer and the Hawkeyes were playing and we watched the game on TV but listened to it on the radio because Carol didn't like the TV announcers. Rest peacefully Carol. Your friend, Brian

Carol was a great friend and neighbor. I spent a lot of time over at the Secrest house. One of the many things Carol liked to do was to plant flowers in her back yard which she really enjoyed. Carol you will be missed. Rest in Peace!

Dear Don, Jerry and family. So sorry we can't make it back to be with you in this time of sorrow. We are glad, Don, that you and Carol stopped to see us last fall on your trip east. Carol was a great niece and a brave little girl. She made the world a better place and will be sorely missed but will be a great addition to God's Kingdom! Uncle Bo and Aunt Ida

Don and family ===
I am so sorry for your loss, Don. We grieve for our partners when they are gone, but God only takes the best, as it seems He had a place for her in His House. You want to remember all the good times you had together and to forget the bad. Your friends and family will help you through this time of sorrow. God Bless you and your family, and may Carol rest in Eternal Peace == free of the pain and suffering she fought for so long.

I knew Carol from WB Study Club. She will indeed be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I always admired her kindness and sense of grace. It sounds so simple, but she advised me to put a clothes pin on my little garden flag to keep it from blowing away, and everytime I change my flag I think of her!

My deepest condolences to Carol's Family and Friends. She was such a loving and vibrant lady. A loving mother figure with a hidden wicked sense of humor for those of us at UICCU. A grandmother to every baby born while she was there. I will keep her "humming" in my heart forever. My blesses to you all.

When Carol came to my office, it seemed like I was catching up with an old friend. She loved her family so much and was so proud of her grandchildren. We talked about cooking and knitting and she told me how she raised her kids cooking in a small kitchen. She knitted me a hat that got me many compliments and I told everyone who saw it about Carol, her illness, and her bravery. I said a prayer for Carol whenever I put it on. I wore it Monday, got the usual compliment and said my prayer for her not realizing she was so close to dying. God bless Carol and maybe she can show me some knitting stitches when I go through the pearly gates

To Carol's loving family, Our families were very close through our years in grade school and high school. Carol Jean and I walked to and from Kindergarden the first three months of school in 1949. Then the Little's moved to a farm. I will always remember the fun times we had as kids and the closeness of our mothers. My prayers go out to Geri Foraker and her children and grandchildren. My prayers also are with Don during these sad times. Love to all, Jane Little
