Our deepest sympathy to all family. Sherry was very special to us over the years we spent together at church and on her visits afterward. A special memory that showed her heart was when she learned about a movement long ago to send 'tea bags' to the White House as a flood of support by Republicans who formed the Tea Party. I remember her wanting to do something and saying "I can do THAT"! She was a special friend and now free from pain and in the presence of her loving Heavenly Father. So happy I got to talk to her in early July! With our sympathy and love, Dan and Sharon Dykstra

My condolences to the family for your loss. May the God of all comfort give peace to each of you as we await the day when Jesus calls for those in the memorial tombs to come out. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4; John 5:28,29)

Gene & I always appreciated Sherry's love, compassion, welcoming attitude and sincerity at the blood bank. She never minded our good- natured teasing and humor. She was an asset to SBB, always greeted us with a cheerful smile and one reason why we kept going back, both of us reaching 35-gallons. With her work at SBB she bettered, and saved, the lives of countless people.

So sorry for your loss.

To Sherry's family,
I knew her through the Blood Bank of Sioux City, and saw her at the Siouxland Cancer Center meetings for women with breast cancer. I worked at Mercy Medical Center for 39 years, so knew of her fight and her light. I know you will miss her! Anne

What an honor to know Sherry and to enjoy mutual birthday outings together. As a backyard neighbor we raised our children together and kept in touch when they moved to Sioux City. Many fun times and memories! I will not be able to attend her memorial but will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
