Bruce, Jeanette, and families. I was shocked to see Dennis obit. You have my sympathy with thoughts and prayers.
Since I saw this, I was thinking about all the fun times our families had years ago---like those baseball games on the farm where we lived by Tipton.
I still have the crock-pot your parents gave us for a wedding gift 40 years ago!

When I got the Road Supt. job in Clinton County, I was told to call Denny, and he would tell me all the things I should know. Well, I ended up talking to him a lot and we became good friends . I would see him over in my county a lot to make sure I was doing all right, or he was checking to see who had more rock on their roads . He was a man you could get an honest answer from and have a lot of fun with . Most of the phone calls were at 3:30 am to make sure one of us didn't over sleep in the winter months . I will miss my friend of 6 years . So sorry for your loss. I know he will be missed greatly by many.

Jaime, Amy, Bruce, Jeanette and Family, we are sorry for your loss. Denny was such a great man and most of all a great friend. I remember the days when he would stop at the Coralville Lake and jump in the squad car and ride around with me, yes in the front seat. I will always remember his big smile and kind HEART.
