I remember Nate, not only from the school days at West Branch, but he and my dad Art Collins were both Maytag Men for Pat Foster out of Iowa City, IA and I remember him from there first. He was a nice man, and he will be missed by many. Keep the memories close to your heart, and may god bless you and keep you at this time.

I was taken aback to learn about Nate's death. I rode "Nate's Bus" until I was a sophomore at West Branch High School. I'll never forget coming home one day on a Saturday to find Nate in our laundry room on his knees in front of the dryer. I was DUMBFOUNDED! Why was my bus driver at my house? :-) I have some really great memories of Nate, and as his family, I know you do to. He had a great big heart and he will be greatly missed, I have no doubt.

Over the years it has been our good fortune to have Nate as a patient in our office. It always brought a smile to my face to see his name on the schedule. His kindness, his humor and that contagious smile will be truly missed. Our sympathy to his family and friends.

I fondly remember Nate from his bus driving days. He was a kind and compassionate man who always had a smile on his face. May your fond memories of your father and grandfather ease the pain over the coming days.

Nate will always be remembered as the father of one of my best friends and as a friend in deed. He was someone you could count on for words of wisdom or just to cheer you up. He was always there for field trips and sporting events too, as a retired bus driver, he has already been missed in the schools.
Mary Ann and Karen, Ron and I want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you both. If you are in need of something or just someone to speak with, we are here.

I remember when Nate drove our school bus; he was the best! Nate wore a raincoat and rain hat on the last day of school so we could have squirt gun fights all the way home. That's the Nate I remember. Thinking of the family and friends, I'm sure you have great memories of your own.

I was on Nate's school bus route for many years. He was a kind and wonderful person who always greeted us with a smile and a hardy good morning when we got on the bus. He was like a second father to all of us on his route and we all respected him. I wish I had known that he has been living so close to me the past several years. I would have gone to visit with him. All my love is with his family and close friends at this time.
