I knew Chris from Cosgrove and high school. We played basketball together for three years. Many fond memories of those times. She was kind, fun and outgoing! I hadn’t seen Chris for many years, but reconnected of Facebook. As a mother, parent and grandparent it was vey evident how proud she was of her family! My deepest condolences to you all!

Chris was always so supportive of her grandchildren and other kids-as an extension- she had "adopted". She was also the best tenant my father could ask for at the beauty shop as well as a wonderful boss and friend to my recently deceased sister-in-law. The Zinkula’s were my 2nd family when Todd and I were young. I spent so much time at that house in Downey and Chris always made sure I got enough party pizza before Todd finished the rest!
I’m so sad for your loss but am truly happy that I got to know Chris as long as I did. She will be missed!

I had the privilege of growing up in Downey where Chris was one of the "moms". I also had the opportunity to work with her at the salon and in the more recent times enjoyed a margarita or glass of wine with her and Karen. She will be greatly missed by many.
