Obituary of Dalyn Thomas Pedersen

Dalyn Thomas Pedersen, 19, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

Visitation will be held 1:00 to 4 P.M. Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch where a celebration of life will be held immediately following visitation at 4 P.M. Wednesday the West Branch Football family will host a gathering at the Little Rose Bowl, all are welcome.

Dalyn was born March 6, 2002 in West Union, Iowa the son of Jason E. and Tamia M. (Freeman) Pedersen. He was a graduate of West Branch High School in the class of 2020 and attended Wartburg College. In high school he was active in all sports and show choir. He enjoyed skateboarding, working out, listening to music and was truly captivated by the Rocky Mountains. Dalyn was a very loving and giving person who would do anything for anyone. His grandfather Tom was his hero, and Dalyn was his parent’s hero and his brother Brandon who he adored looked up to and admired him.

He is survived by his parents Jason and Tamia of West Branch, brother: Brandon, paternal grandparents: Tom and Deb Pedersen of West Branch and maternal grandmother: Elois Freeman of Ft. Meade, Florida. Several aunts and uncles: William Bell of Ft. Meade, Florida, Lisa (Todd) Linderbaum of Solon, Dan (Kristin) Pedersen of West Branch and Tammy Hill of Miami, Florida, cousins: Logan, Tyler, Mason and Thomas. He is also survived by several great aunts, uncles and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Lorenzo Hill.
