Sending my deepest heartfelt sympathies and condolences to Bill's family and friends. Sad I didn't get to know his children better. We just met in passing when they were visiting him. When Bill and Bobbi moved to Coralville he became my neighbor. Bill was a great guy and as good of a neighbor as anyone could hope for. He loved to keep busy and I have several pieces of his woodworking on active duty in my house. He was always willing to help anyone in anyway he could. Bill was a great man, a kind hearted, giving, friendly man and I feel honored to have shared his friendship. Bill loved people and life. I and his neighbors loved him and have missed him since he moved to assisted living. Sorry I cannot make the services due to the Covid situation and a minor injury, but will be with you through the streaming service. Peace and understanding to all. Sincerely, Ralph R. Stephens

So sorry to hear about Bill. Growing up in West Branch, everyone knew Bill and he will be missed. My condolences to Sandi, Greg and Wayne and their families.

Bill was such a great guy to know. First got to know him at West Branch schools and kept in touch there after. Always a smile and sense of humor. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Cherish the memories.

Billy was the greatest to work with when I mowed lawns for the school during my summers in high school and college. He was always so kind and helpful. My sympathies to his family.

I worked at all 3 stations on the hill in West Branch 1972-74 , Sky King , Phillips and Browns Standard, Bill paid the best and was a great guy to work for. Godspeed Bill we will meet again someday on the other side. Condolences to your family.

I met Bill at his station when I work for the Iowa State Patrol. Browns Standard was a gathering place for a number of citizens and law enforcement officers. There was always laughter and at times some tom foolery going on. I spent many winters assisting Bill removing vehicles from the winter storms over the years. Bill was a true friend who was always willing to help anyone. My condolences and prayers to the Brown Family. Bill was one of a kind and will be missed by many. Shalom, Gary Hoskins Retired ISP

I was privileged enough to call Bill a friend. Always a pleasure to be around him and assist him with getting supplies for the woodshop as we made a few trips to Lowes for material. He loved wood working and I admired his perseverance in all projects and he was always busy. RIP Bill. I know I'll miss you in the wood shop. ~Larry at Grand Living.
