West Branch, Iowa David P. Hosier, 61 of West Branch, IA passed away November 10, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics due to COVID-19. Visitation will be held Friday, November 13, 2020 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced. Memorials may be made to David Hosier Memorial Fund. David Paul Hosier was born August 18, 1959 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Frederick Hosier and Margaret Isabel Moyer Hosier. He attended West Liberty Schools. On July 23, 1977 he was united in marriage to Lori Vargason at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA Dave was the proud owner of Parkside Service in West Branch for 31 years. He loved drag racing, camping, and most importantly spending time with his family. You knew Dave liked you if he was making fun of you. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lori Hosier, three children Davie (Rae Ann), Andy (Becky) all of West Branch and Greg of Cedar Rapids. Three grandchildren: Timothy, Seth, and Liam, Brother Bob (Carolynn) Smelser, several nieces and nephews, and his mother-in-law Colleen Vargason. He is also survived by his pug Penny and grand dogs Diesel, Cooper and Roscoe. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Robert, and his favorite pugs Kesha & Shelby.
