Dennis E. McKillip of Atalissa, IA passed away on Monday June 8, 2020 at his home. Dennis was born on July 11, 1947 to Ernest "Jake" and Lois Reiland McKillip in Muscatine, IA. He graduated from West Liberty High School in 1966. He proudly served in the Army Reserves during Vietnam. He worked for the family business LW McKillip & Sons as well as owning and operating DM Express. Dennis' lifelong passion was driving semi. He enjoyed tinkering on machinery and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 4-7 PM at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11 AM at the Overman Cemetery in Atalissa. Dennis is survived by his sons; Brian (Janeen) McKillip of Iowa City, Michael McKillip (Heidi Greiner) of Lone Tree and Jason McKillip of Atalissa, 8 grandchildren and his brother Dale (Penny) McKillip of Atalissa. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Daryl McKillip. Memorial donations may be made to the West Liberty Ambulance in his memory.
