My deepest condolences to your family. Karel was such a wonderful woman. I was fortunate enough to be an art student of hers when she taught at West Liberty High School. Her passion and her encouragement was the reason that I pursued a career in art. I owe so much to Karel. She was a huge influence on my life as I am sure she was to many others.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bob and the family. My journey with Karel starts with the wedding in Nashua, and continues to visits back in WL on Calhoun street, fair parades, the next house at the Country club, LOTO house. It was always a joy coming back home and visit the Clines. Many happy memories with Karel.

Carol welcomed me to be a part of her Saturday morning art class and Saturday mornings soon became the favorite part of my week. I had also been an art teacher before I came to West Liberty and I understood her passion for continuing to share art with others. I have learned so much more from her.

I could not have dreamed of a more warm, fun, inviting, and talented neighbor in my growing up years than Karel Cline. That back door was always open and there for me. I could go on and on listing her endearing personality traits but the word that over arches them all is WARMTH............. all her qualities were enveloped in warmth. Don't you see it in those eyes? Mom and Dad loved her, played with her, teased her, and admired her. I agree with everyone that she added a fun element to the neighborhood. It's been a bit over a year since Dad's passing.........we keep adding more and more to our Heavenly Calhoun Street Angel Brigade! May their continued presence shine down and bless us all. I will always remember dear sweet Karel and take comfort knowing she carries on in her heavenly endeavors. Love to all! Liesa Burr Newman
