My aunt Annie's glowing personality, genuine heart, positive spirit, love of family, and love of God will always serve as an inspiration in my life. I will never forget the time, so long ago in Marshalltown, when she took me to a neighbor's garage sale, and I so excited I was able to get a set of bongo drums! I still have those bongo drums some 40 years later, and they will always remind me of that day.

I am so sorry for the loss of your wife, mother, sister, grandma, friend, Sister in Christ. It is never easy to lose someone you love so much especially when they are such a loving tender person that would do anything for anyone. There just isn't any thing a person could say to make your broken hearts to mend the only thing that could even possibly say is know that Jesus is right there carrying you all in his arms. I worked with Ann at HON in Muscatine for many years. I was always inspired by her love, faith, and her perspective on things. We both were Iowa State Cyclone fans as well. I have not worked at HON for several years now, but even so, I miss her very much and am so heartbroken! I was just listening to some music and a bit of the lyrics from the song struck a chord with me..."a heart that has been broken is a heart that has been loved, so I'll sing hallelujah! Ann and I worked together several years and I considered her one of my best friends. I will miss her smile and warm heart. I made her Jesus cake as she called it a few times and boy did she love that cake! Rest in piece my friend.

I have been blessed to have the friendship of Dean and Annie for over 40 years. What defined Annie more than anything was her love for her Lord and Savior and her desire to share the salvation message with others. Kind and compassionate would only begin to describe Annie and she will be deeply missed. I take comfort in that Dean is surrounded by loving family to carry him through these difficult days.
