C. Bruce Hierseman, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and clinics.

Bruce was born September 18, 1955 in Iowa City the son of Paul and Marie (Pedersen) Hierseman. He was a graduate of West Branch High School class of 1974. On July 29, 1978 Bruce married the love of his life Carol Semler. They resided on the family farm in West Branch. Bruce worked at West Branch Farm Supply, then Consumers Coop of Coralville from 1980 until his retirement in 2016.  

He loved fishing, the Iowa Hawkeyes, his cats Patches and Pickles and spending time with his granddaughter. Bruce’s smile, laugh and witty humor will be remembered by everyone. 

He is lovingly survived by his wife Carol, two daughters: Brittani Hierseman and her significant other Brandon Bedford of Cedar Rapids and Brandi (Carter) Baldes of Collinsville, Texas, granddaughter Orhian and grandson expected in January 2020. Brother: Gerald (Mary Jean) Hierseman of West Branch and sister Marlene Labar of Iowa City. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
