Great memories playing football with Larry at West Branch. I remember one practice during summer double days Larry was playing center. He snapped the ball on the wrong count. Coach Hansen was so mad at him he broke his coffee cup over Larry's helmet and cut his finger in the process. Coach Hansen told Larry he better have a new coffee cup for him by the next practice and Larry did.
Larry was a great guy. While our paths didnt cross much after high school he always had a big smile on his face when I saw him. Rest in peace my old teammate!!

To My Dear Friend Larry,
I guess we missed the chance for that fishing trip back to West Branch and lunch at Sutliff. What great memories of a Tom Sawyer boyhood while sharing a cabin with your family on the Cedar River, listening to your dad Bud and my dad Virgil tell stories way past our bed time while running the set lines on an overnight at the cabin. Our Mom's always tried to outdo each other for Sunday dinners at the cabin. Pheasant and rabbit hunting until the sun went down. Little league, football and so many more good times, and good memories.
I could not have asked for a better friend!!
Gods speed..........

Condolences and prayers for Larry and all his family. Knew him from riding on Tractorcade in his group of friends. This picture was taken at McMillan Park in Mount Pleasant at the 2008 Tractorcade with the guys in his ride group, and his rig as a perfect backdrop. He was such a great guy and will be missed by many.

I took this photo of Stacker in June of 2018 at the WMT Tractor Show in Washington, Iowa when he came to see me at my vendor booth. We talked for hours about all the years he watched me grow up at Bryant's Truck Service Center when my dad had it. Than The Truck Shop when Joe took it over along came my kids. How he loved hiding my kids in the truck and watching me freak out looking for them. Than when the kids found the air horn that was the end of that.

My sincerest condolences to this family. I just spoke with Larry last month at the funeral of his sister Lorene (my aunt). This family has had a lot to bear in the last few years. I am especially thinking of Linda who has now lost 2 siblings in a very short timeframe.
We are out of the country this coming week and won’t be able to attend the funeral. May his memory be a blessing.
