Geri was one of the nicest ladies I have ever met, she always had a smile and a personal greeting. She ruled a group of unruly boys in church choir with grace and humor. She will certainly by missed by me and the entire community.

So sorry for your loss. Jerry was my country school teacher at the school near Lone Tree. I had to walk to school through corn fields and cross a creek. My dad laid a plank across the creek and when it would rain real hard the creek would fill with water which ran very close to the top of the plank. My older sisters were not afraid to cross it I was, so I choice to walk the road which was about three mile distance. My sisters told Jerry that I would be late for school. She understood. Oh what good memories of a wonderful teacher she was. I recently talked with her at a alumni banquet at the Lone Tree Legion and really enjoyed seeing her again. Hold on to the wonderful memories that you have of you mother. My deepest sympathy.

The best Mother In Law any man could ever hope for. Her family is her legacy as is always the case and from her children to her great grandchildren, her influence as the family matriarch left no doubt about her character, class, and integrity. All wrapped in her love. What a lady.

Hey Ruess family,
I want to send my condolences to you all for the loss of such a great family member: mom, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, aunt, and so many other titles this amazing lady held in just your family alone.
As I send my condolences, I also want to congratulate you for the honor of being related to such a strong, kind woman. What a difference she made in this world!
I will remember her for always being so kind to me, especially after my divorce. I knew that when I attended church I could always count on her to come over and talk to me afterwards. Her friendliness always made me feel special somehow...
She grew up across the road from my dad and used to talk to me about that and ask how he was doing. I called my parents this morning and we talked about her.
I know SO many of you-her relatives! All great people, just as Gerrie is/was.
I'm not sure I can get off of work, but I will try my hardest to be at the funeral.
If I can't get time off, know that my heart will be with you all on Thursday morning as you celebrate her life,
Karen Jedlicka

Your Mom played the organ for our wedding almost 50 years ago. We also asked her to play at Corey's funeral, Mom's and Dad's. We will miss her. She was a wonderful lady. Not too long ago I received a handwritten note of support from her and a small book of prayers. I really appreciated her concern and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Jim & Susie

A woman to be admired. She was a wonderful mother watching after her seven children while they were growing up. Both Jerry and Bob set an excellent example for all of you. Faith, family and friends were their life. Jerry always had such pride in all of you.
So job well-done my friend! May you be rejoicing in heaven with our Savior and Bob at your side.

My thoughts and prayers to Ruess Family,
I have so many fond memories of Geraldine. We use to say that all the good girls graduated from Lone Tree !! I remember taking flowers to her around mother day since my mother was gone and she would love them. Then we would go and chat for awhile. I have no doubt that heaven gained an Angel !! I know she will be missed by so many people. She touched so many people in her life !! Cherish the memories forever.
God Bless,

She was a great neighbor to me thru the years after her and Bob moved to town...She would be out on her daily walks and if I was out in my yard or just coming home from work, we would stop and visit about everything.. flowers, family, friends, what was going in town, the fair.. she always, always had a smile and a deep love of family. I will truly miss our visits, especially when I am tending the roses that I got "Aunt" Beryle Brooke, they were always a topic of conversation when the proceeded to bloom...rest in peace Gerri, Bob has been waiting along time for his bride to join him in eternity....
