Obituary of Lloyd Gordon Erboe

West Branch, Iowa

Lloyd G. Erboe, 77, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City.  

Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Lloyd was born October 21, 1940 in Elgin, Illinois the son of Einer and Mildred (Henard) Erboe. He was a veteran of the US Army. He had worked as a Master Electrician for many years and later at Tidewater Publishing in West Branch where he retired. Lloyd met Kitty Kettler and the two of them shared over 33 years enjoying life together.

He is survived by his daughter Lynda (Lance) Amis and their children James (Bethany)  and children Elizabeth, Samuel and John; Clayton Amis all of Timbo, Arkansas.  3 sons: Keith (Laura) Kettler of West Branch and his children Kollin and Katie Bug of West Branch, Kelly (Angel) Kettler of Purcel, OK and his children Steven (Trena) Burtlow and their daughter Bella and son Hayden of Minnesota, Kelby James of Clark, Missouri and Ryanne and Elly of Purcel, OK, Chris (Melissa) Kettler of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and their daughter Danielle and granddaughter Myca June and  grandson Derek of Mt. Pleasant, one daughter Kathy (Keith) Noel and her children Kayla (Allen) Knapp of North Liberty and her son John Curtis of West Branch, Thomas “Peanut Butter” (Chantry) Noel and their daughters Lyla and Eleanor of West Branch, Kody Crow of West Branch, Cheyanne Crow and Nick Dreckman of Cedar Rapids and Cassie Noel of Cedar Rapids. grandchildren: Ashley Erboe and her son Brody of West Branch, Riley, Mackenzie and Autumn Erboe of Gilbert, Arizona, Derek Erboe and Dillon Meyer of West Branch. Two brothers: Harold Erboe and Jim (Shirley) Erboe. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kitty Kettler, son Mike Erboe son Curtis Kyle Kettler, sister in law: Pat Erboe, grandson Derek Forquer and 2 brothers Bob and Roy.
