Arturo Frausto, 77, of West Liberty, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Windmill Manor in Coralville, Iowa. Funeral services will be at 10:30AM on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the West Liberty Community Center. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00PM on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Arturo was born February 14, 1935 in Madero Del Rio, Mexico, the son of Quirino Frausto and Felipa De La Paz. He was united in marriage to Celia Perez on September 17, 1957 in Ciudad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico. He was employed with Louis Rich Foods for many years. Arturo was an avid outdoorsman, he loved nature and to hunt and fish. He was very outgoing, hand many friends and was a loving person to not only his family but to everyone. Arturo was a devout Christian and hardworking individual. He is survived by his 10 children: Guadalupe Pena of Troy, North Carolina, Arturo Frausto Jr. of Biscoe, North Carolina, Alma Rosa Ramirez of Iowa City, Felipa Murguia of Colorado, Hilda Chavez of Iowa City, Celia Barraza of West Liberty, Cruz Martinez of Muscatine, Raul Frausto of Ft. Worth, Texas, Enedina Hernandez of Muscatine, and Barbara Navaro, of Texas; brothers: Quirino Frausto of Texas and Jesus Frausto of Del Rio, Texas; sisters: Celia Charles of Mt. Gilead, North Carolina, Maria Molina of Del Rio, Texas and Olga Cardona of West Liberty. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Celia in 1989 and a brother Rogelio Frausto.
