Dear Kerry, Cade & family, I can't tell you how deeply sorry I am to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family during this time. From what I can remember, Bill was one of the most positive, loving and joyful people that I have come across in my life. I will never forget the time he took me to the airport, one summer in Iowa, and how he didn't just drop me off, but made sure I got all the way to my gate and onto the plane because he cared so much! That is exactly how Bill should be remembered and I hope that you can dwell on all the wonderful and joyous memories you shared with him. Love Always, Melissa

My sympathy to all the family.
I was saddened to learn of his death.
I remember Bill from our City High days. He had a great smile and was fun to be around. That red convertable was lots of fun.
I enjoyed going out to the farm and seeing Ralph and Beulah. Now he is with them.
I remember Sharon. Beulah used to make wonderful home made potatoe chips!

Let all the emotions and feelings work their way through. Please get together often and tells stories and go through your dad's things and think of what he would say or do...etc and laugh. Remember the memories and smile and laugh. Talk about it. Laughter is a great medication. The grieving will never go away, you just go on. Take care everyone. Love....Doug, Marcia & Makenna

I'm very sorry I could not be there in person to let you know how deeply sorry I am to hear of Bill's passing. Dad(Francis Bahmler) and I were going to come but the line was too long for him to stand there.
My fondest memory of Bill and my funniest is all the crap he gave me about my brown blanket that my boys and I used to sit on at the West Branch Bears football games on the northeast corner hill every Friday night home game and even an occasional away game, and to this day whenever he saw me he never forgot. I still have the blanket, and whenever I use it from now on I will think of him.
Once again I am so sorry.
Sincerely
Janice Brandenburg

The loss is so profound I can't even imagine our family without Bill. The Krall cousins grew up like brothers and sisters and Bill was the best big brother a kid could ask for. We were all blessed by loving him and being loved back.

I was stunned when I heard about Bill. From the time I was in 7th grade, he was my idol, my hero. I have always treasured the limited time I got to be around him. Everything he did and stood for I tried to emulate - usually without much sucess. I remember all too many good memories of Bill. He was an absolutely great guy. May he rest in peace.

To the entire Krall & Gates family, my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Bill was an amazing person, I always looked forward to going to mom and dad's, knowing when I turned the corner onto North Maple Street Bill would be in the garage smiling and waving at me. He could bring a smile to my face no matter what the circumstance. He will be missed by family, friends and the entire community of West Branch.

I was so shocked to hear about this and just called Helen. I haven't gabbed with you guys since he left the daycare and didn't know he was sick. I am clueless as to what to say--just can't believe this bright smile is gone from W.B. Like others have mentioned--there was happy reunion in heaven over the weekend. That doesn't help those of you left here, but there is maybe some small comfort that Grandpa & Chad are together again. My thoughts are with you all as you try to find some comfort in this huge loss.

Please know we are there for all of you in any capacity you need us for, Bill has a wonderful family and you are all special to us. I will miss his wonderful smile and glowing personality and the way he could light up a room. I am so glad I was lucky enough to know Bill and grow up with your family. I will miss him alot. Thanks also for allowing the fire dept to be a part of Bill's service, it means alot to us to be able to show how much his friendship, dedication and service means to us and it will help some of us deal with this tragedy. Peace be with Bill and your family. Take care and God Bless.

I was David's new girlfriend and it was my first Krall Event - a Memorial Day picnic at Hal and Marion's. I was a little daunted by the the sheer number of these friendly strangers. Someone convinced me to join in a game of softball. I will never forget your beaming smile of acceptance. Nor will I ever forget how I NEVER made it to second base no matter how hard I ran because you had a string tied to it and were running backwards with it as fast as you could, laughing at me the whole time. And that is the way I will remember you, and the way you always were; warm, accepting, and one of the most hilarious men I have ever known. I sure miss you already. I know your family is feeling such a huge void right now. To all of you, I am so sorry. I hope that time eases the pain and the good memories grow stronger - there are so many. My thoughts are with you. All my love, Duff
