West Branch, Iowa Betty L. Lindberg, 90, died Saturday June 23, 2012 at the Crestview Care and Rehab Center in West Branch. Funeral services will be held 11A.M. Thursday June 28, 2012 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the West Branch Cemetery. Betty was born December 16, 1921 in Springfield, Illinois the daughter of Luke and Ida (Vogel) Vortman. She was a graduate of Havana, Illinois High School and attended Business College. On December 27, 1941 she was united in marriage to Gilbert Lindberg in Havana, Illinois. She was member of TPM, Order of Eastern Star, Iowa City Swedish Club and County Line Club. Survivors include Three daughters: Cynthia (Ronald) Madsen of West Branch, Susan Lindberg of Rolla, Missouri and Cheryl (Dan) Guenther of Morrison, Colorado. Two sons: Gilbert Eric Lindberg of West Branch and Stephen Lindberg of Iowa City. Sister in law: Betty Vortman of Albuquerque, New Mexico. 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her little dog Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Luke, grandson Bobby Lowenberg and daughter in law Joan Lindberg.
