Virginia L. Pratt, 73, died Friday July 31, 2009 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty .
Memorial service will be held 1:30 P.M. Monday August 3, 2009 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty . Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
Virginia was born January 11, 1936 in Keokuk, the daughter of Mervin and Glennrose Snowden Haskins. In 1953 she was united in marriage to Raymond William Pratt. She had been employed with Sheaffer Pen Co. in Fort Madison for several years.
She enjoyed playing BINGO, fishing, mushroom hunting and spending time outdoors.
She is survived by one daughter: Lois (Larry) Brooks of Atalissa. Two grandchildren: Eldon (Shelly) Downs and Tonyia (Brian) Polman, four great grandchildren: Ashlynn, Kailey, McKinley and Mirielle. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, a sister and her grandson Bryian.
