West Branch, IA Marie Jensen, 81, died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Crestview Nursing and Rehab Center in West Branch. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Bethany Lutheran Church in West Branch. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00PM on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Burial will be at West Branch Cemetery. Marie was born on April 26, 1930 in Fairfax, Iowa, the daughter of Lovell and Minnie Crow Myers. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to Warren Jensen on August 9, 1949 in Cedar Rapids. Marie had worked as a teacher’s aide in the West Liberty School District and as a dental assistant with Dr. Blackman D.D.S. She also owned and operated Peanut Park Ceramic Shop in West Branch. Marie enjoyed playing cards and other games and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed dogs, especially her pugs. She is survived by 2 sons, Bob (Betty) Jensen and Ron (Rhonda) Jensen both of West Liberty, 5 grandchildren, Jackie (Andy) Buysse of West Liberty, Emily (Steve) Wilson of Cedar Rapids, Megan (Jens) Zalzala of Los Angeles, CA, Wade Jensen of Brooklyn, NY and Kirsten Jensen of West Liberty, and 5 great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Sophie, and Madison Buysse, Reese and Cash Wilson, and great grandchild Zalzala due any day. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Thelma Aldeman of Iowa City and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren in 2009 and her parents.
