Richard W. Gandt, died Monday, October 31, 2011 at Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty following an extended illness.
Richard was born October 21, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Paul and Lucille Esser Gandt. He was a graduate of Custer High School in Milwaukee. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Richard was united in marriage to Ella Mae Pankratz in 1956 in Milwaukee. He was employed with the American Can Company and worked as a mechanic.
Richard is survived by his wife Ella Mae of West Liberty, son David (Bonnie) Gandt of Cedarsburg, Wisconsin, daughter Joann Gandt of Colgate, Wisconsin, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
After many years of illness, Richard is now resting in peace.
