Obituary of Bill Ramsey

Bill was born on January 13, 1927 in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of Samuel and Florence Crump Ramsey. He served in the Army during WW II as a tank radio operator. He was united in marriage to Joyous Keefer on February 6, 1949 in Kirksville, Missouri. Bill was employed as a painter with the University of Iowa for 37 years.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, as well as boating and waterskiing. He like to read, especially the books of Stephen King and Dean Koontz. Bill also enjoyed working outdoors on his garden.
Survivors include his wife: Joyous; daughter: Misty Brown of California and grandchildren: Angel, Kenny and Shelly; daughter Merry (Lee) Landenberger of Hawarden, Iowa and grandchildren: Roxsi Topete and Alan (Julie) Mace; son Willie (Gisela) Ramsey of Paddock Lake, Wisconsin and grandchildren: Lawrence, Joseph and Jacqueline; brother John (Phyllis) Ramsey and sister in law: Darlene Ramsey; nephews: Bill and Sam and niece: Debbie. Also surviving are 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Vernon Lee and sister Cora Mae.
