Washington, Iowa Una Fern Lewis, 103, died Saturday May 28, 2011 at the Washington Care Center in Washington. Graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday May 31, 2011 at the Nichols Cemetery, Nichols, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Una Fern was born August 30, 1907 in Joplin, Missouri the daughter of Samuel and Zelma Michael Evans. She was united in marriage to John F. Lewis on May 5, 1926, he died in 1966. She had lived for many years in Nichols, moving to Riverside where she lived at the Riverside Senior Village for 17 years, prior to moving to Washington Care Center in 1995. She is survived by a nephew: Dwight (Linda) Younkin of Iowa City as well as many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 9 brothers and sisters.
