Patsy J. Terhune, 67, died Sunday August 10, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday August 14, 2008 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Following the funeral service a gathering will be held at the West Liberty Community center for a time of sharing with the family. If you are unable to attend the funeral service please join the family at the community center. Pat was born September 9, 1940 near West Liberty the daughter of Henry and Alma Schneider Heick. She was a graduate of West Liberty High School in 1959 and attended Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids. On October 30, 1960 she was united in marriage to Lowell Terhune in West Liberty. The couple farmed in the West Liberty area for many years and she most recently was employed at the West Liberty School System for 20 years retiring in 2006. She enjoyed working on the farm, playing cards and most importantly her grandchildren and their activities. Survivors include one son: Jeff Terhune (Martie Walter) of West Liberty and one daughter: Julie Brooks (Murry Fitzer) of Durant. 5 Grandchildren: Justin Terhune, Josh Terhune, McKensey Reid, Taylor Terhune and Chantz Brooks. Two brothers: Ron Heick and Robert (Shirley) Heick both of West Liberty. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lowell in 1993.
