Obituary of Vivian Gregory
Please share a memory of Vivian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Vivian Anastasia Gregory, the infant daughter of Peter and Kristen Gregory of Fort Wayne, Indiana, departed this life on July 17, 2008 to join her heavenly Father.
She weighed 2 lbs. 3 oz. at birth and was baptized immediately into the Christian faith. From birth to death, she resided in Room 406 for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Parkview North Hospital in Fort Wayne. She loved the nurses, respiratory therapists, and doctors, and they loved her by faithfully caring for her needs both medical and emotional, as well as the needs of her parents. Vivian's smiles, passions, and perseverance brought great pleasure to her parents and all who knew her. Despite surgeries, medications, and breathing assistance, she enjoyed being in her parents' arms.
Vivian leaves behind her grandparents, Denise Johnson of West Branch, Iowa, Kurt Johnson and Cathy Isabel-Johnson of Atalissa, Iowa, and Robert and Dianne Gregory of Traverse City, Michigan, and her great-grandparents, Kenneth and Laurale Hunter of West Branch, Iowa, Mary Jean Johnson of Fredricksburg, Virginia, and Selma Graves of Suttons Bay, Michigan. Also surviving are her aunts and uncles, Jonathan and Karen Daughtrey, Matthew and Megan Gregory, Carrie Gregory and her fiance, Nathanael Szobody, and Andrew and Julie Gregory.
The funeral service will be Monday, July 21, at 11 a.m. in Kramer Chapel, Concordia Theological Seminary, 6600 North Clinton Street, Fort Wayne. Graveside services will be 4: P.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the West Branch Cemetery. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch is in charge of local arrangements. Memorials will be designated for Iowa flood relief and for the Lutheran Hospital in Antsirabe Madagascar through LCMS World Relief and Human Care
