West Liberty, Iowa Mark Jeffrey Birely, 50, passed away Monday May 15, 2017 at his home in West Liberty. A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Christian Fellowship Church in West Liberty. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements. Mark was born September 7, 1966 in Iowa City the son of Marvin and Karen (Mavis) Birely. He was a graduate of Clear Creek High School at Tiffin in the class of 1984 and was united in marriage to Barbara Ann O'Leary. Mark owned and operated Autow and was a semi driver. He enjoyed fishing, towing and working on vehicles. He is survived by his wife Barb. Two sons: Dylan Beranek of Swisher, Iowa and Austin Birely of Tiffin. Mother and step father: Karen and Roger Reginnitter of Tiffin, Siblings: Marvin Birely of West Liberty, Martin (Chaleigh) Birely of Mediapolis, Iowa, Clint Smith of Tiffin, Laura Birely of Tiffin, twin sister Rhonda Birely of North Liberty, Carrie (Justin) Birely Collins of Parnell, Iowa, Amy (Doug) Eckrich of Oxford. Three half brothers: Warren Birely, George Birely and Dale Birely, three half sisters: Marvetta Jones, Gail Burkett and Terri Kerr. Step son Steve Stanfield of Iowa City/Carlsbad, New Mexico and a step grandson Jordan Stanfield. Also surviving are many brothers and sisters in law, 5 step sisters and 2 step brothers. He was preceded in death by his father Marvin, step father Harry Smith, Grandparents: Ray and Ruby Mavis, Iva Birely and Lewis and Marie Smith and uncle Jim Mavis.
