Sadie McMichael, 85, of Atalissa, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Muscatine. Memorials may be made to the Atalissa First Responders or Iowa City Hospice. Sadie was born November 1, 1924 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Ella Foster Faulkner. She was united in marriage to Luther McMichael on February 26, 1940 in Muscatine. They farmed in Muscatine County for many years. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Muscatine. She is survived by 3 sons: Jerry (Linda) McMichael, Ron (Doris) McMichael, and Jay (Roberta) McMichael all of Atalissa. Also surviving are 6 grandsons, 13 great grandchildren and a sister Helen Finnegan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Luther, sister Juanita Hull, and brothers Foster, Herbert, Fred and James, and granddaughter Tracey.
