My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family. She and Bud were great friends of my mom and dad. She was an awesome woman!! I talked to her many times and her spirit was beautiful. She was so kind and caring and always had a smile. She will be missed&127881;&128149;
Here's my favorite Darlene story. I would ride my bike on the gravel road in front of their house. One time I wrecked on the loose gravel. I hobbled up to her door, she picked the rocks out of my elbows and knees, put band-aides on them then loaded up the bike and me and drove me home. Darlene and Bud were second parents to us growing up. I miss them.
I'll always remember Darlene scolding me when i was in school for acting up and when she and Bud would invite some of the neighborhood kids in for snacks. She'll be greatly missed and now she's with Bud once more.
