I was so sorry to learn on John's passing. I wasn't aware he had been sick but living in Davenport though I'm still working at the University of Iowa, I don't hear often enough what's happening outside my world. I am terribly and deeply sorry to hear. John was always a great guy! Always a great guy and was blessed with a wonderful family. My deepest sympathy to you all. Sincerely and with much love Kathy Klein (Gerling)

Nancy,
I am sorry to hear of Johns passing. He was a good friend, teammate, and fishing buddy. We have a lot of good memories of Thursday night bowling and time fishing either on the river or in Canada. You all are in my thoughts.

God bless you all through your sorrow. John was a high school classmate at Regina. We all knew we could never meet a nicer person. Back in the day, we used to play softball at the Fall Fun Festival, and John was not only coaching us oldies, but giving us tips on how to give a "strong-look" in the batter's box, to try to intimidate, even if we couldn't hit worth a darn. He was the best role model for all of us. We were lucky to have a chance to be in the world with him.
