God bless you all through your sorrow. John was a high school classmate at Regina. We all knew we could never meet a nicer person. Back in the day, we used to play softball at the Fall Fun Festival, and John was not only coaching us oldies, but giving us tips on how to give a "strong-look" in the batter's box, to try to intimidate, even if we couldn't hit worth a darn. He was the best role model for all of us. We were lucky to have a chance to be in the world with him.
