West Branch, Iowa Willis "Bill" Glenn Jensen, 75, passed away suddenly Friday, July 8, 2016 at his cabin at Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Funeral service will be held 1 P.M. Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation will be Friday from 10 to 1 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the West Branch Cemetery. Bill was born November 24, 1940 in Iowa City the son of Sigurd and Alberta Hemingway Jensen. He was a graduate of West Branch High School in the Class of 1959. On May 23, 1962 he was united in marriage to Shirley Hammes in Solon. He had owned Jensen Electric for many years and later was employed with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for 26 years retiring in 2002. Bill lived in the West Branch area most of his life. He enjoyed coffee club, boating, fishing and spending time with his friends at his cabin on the Mississippi river in North East Iowa. Survivors include his wife Shirley of West Branch, two sons: Rick of West Branch and Trent (Joanna) of Chicago, Illinois, two granddaughters Jessica and Sydney Jensen of Grays Lake, Illinois. Brother Carl (Dorothy) Jensen of Sumner, Texas and two sisters Elaine Siddell and Marilyn Cook both of Iowa City as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Bonnie.
