West Branch, Iowa Dorothy “Dot” Walker, 89, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at Crestview Specialty Care and Rehab Center in West Branch. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation will be held 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the West Branch Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. The Henderson- Barker Funeral Home in West Branch was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Dorothy was born November 21, 1926 in West Branch the daughter of Clair and Laura Randall Lehman. Following the death of her father Clair, Laura married James Butler and together they raised Dot. She attended West Branch High School. On May 17, 1947 she was united in marriage to Jim Walker in Cedar Rapids. Dorothy had worked for many years at Coffee Town and Cookie Jar restaurants, and later as a CNA at the Crestview Care Center until her retirement. She was a member of the Springdale United Methodist Church. Dorothy and Jim enjoyed dancing and danced with the Tipton Twirlers square dancers for 15 years. She especially enjoyed following all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities. She is survived by one daughter: Trudi (Bruce) Wright of Atalissa, two Sons: Dennis (Kathy) Walker of Eminence, Missouri and Jim G. (Kathy) Walker of Somerset, Wisconsin. 7 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Son: Joe, grandson Danny and a great granddaughter Diana.
