I am so sad to learn of Dales passing. We worked together for two years during his role as the Wellness Coordinator for Englewood and I always enjoyed our conversations. He was such a genuinely kind, caring person and I loved hearing him talk about his wonderful family. He will be missed.

Dale was a wonderful man and will be missed by myself and many in the physical education community. When I think of Dale, I think of positive energy from an individual who truly cared about all people and children. Our heart goes out to you his family....from the State Physical Education Family.

I am saddened beyond words. Dale was one of my heroes, one of the greatest people I ve ever known. He inspired me in how to motivate children, lead a healthy life, put family first always, and treat everyone like they matter.
Today I am filled with grief. You will be missed, Dale, from here to South Korea, tears will flow....

I had the privilege to work with Dale when he was Wellness Coordinator at Englewood. Dale was much-loved by his colleagues across the state. We all benefited from his passion, commitment to the well-being of students, and his good humor. Blessings to his family.

We are so sorry to lose such a great man. He was always happy and positive, even as he bravely fought. Jill is so special to us- our house lights up every time she visits, and Dale and Kay should be proud that they created, together, such a loving family. He will be missed, and Kay and the girls will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Thoughts & prayers with his family. I just wanted to share what a great teacher/coach he was, I have many fond memories of my years at Renick that he was part of, loved playing basketball! One of my most prominent memories is my best friend, Bonita & I singing to coach on the bus as he was driving us to games. We learned he liked the song Swinging by John Anderson, we learned all the words & would sing this sitting right behind him. Im not sure if he liked it or we drove him crazy, but I cant hear that song without remembering Coach Lumpa! RIP coach!

I would like to express my sympathy. I worked with Dale when we were both assistant principals in the Jefferson City School District. I remember him as a professional colleague who had a positive attitude. Both the faculty and the students liked and respected him. Dale was a "true" educator. My condolences to his family.
