It was an honor to get to know John over this past year and have our caregivers help care for him. They really came to love him - even some continued to visit him at Bickford after we were no longer needed in the home.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Fobian family during this great time of loss. Trusting that many memories of him will help soothe the loss and that knowing where he is now will bring comfort.
From all of us at Home Instead Senior Care.

My sincere sympathy for your loss. May you find comfort in your memories of happy times together, and draw strength from a promise God had provided which gives the hope of someday being reunited with Mr. Fobian. (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15) This promised future is one that will be filled with great joy because it will include perfect health and everlasting life on a renewed, peaceful earth where "the former things have passed away." (Rev. 21:4; Psalm 37:11,29)
God always fulfills his promises. (Numbers 23:19)

To the Fobian Family,
I am so grateful to have met John. Although I was only able to spend a year or so with him, he greatly impacted my life. John always put a smile on my face when I went to visit him. He had such a hard-working and caring personality and he truly is one of a kind. John will be greatly missed, but I know that he is in a very happy place being reunited with his loved ones that he has missed dearly.

Extending my heartfelt sympathies to each of the Fobians. I am glad that I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with John these past few years, and before he was called home. I am so excited about John, Marlene and Mike being reunited again that it makes his passing that much easier. Coupled with the fact that he was ready. John truly was so proud of each and everyone of his children, grandchildren, and the greats. His eyes lit up and he always smiled the brightest when talking about them, and the farm life. He, and Marlene left behind quite a legacy and something that John was able to witness being carried out, before he left us. Guaranteed he left a very proud man. Thank you for all of the wonderful memories that we all shared together John, they will always be treasured. Dad is waiting on that FIRM handshake and the stories. <3

Dear Ken, Carol, Bob and Larry,
I was so saddened to hear of the loss of your father. John was a kind man with a warm smile and I know he is now with his dear Marlene.
I’ll never forget the time when we had a horrible snow storm that took out the electricity for several days. We heard a roar in the front yard and saw John come to check on us on his snowmobile. He then treated Mom to her first ride on a snowmobile jumping the drifts as we watched and laughed from the picture window.
Wishing you and your families prayers, peace and comfort,
Phyllis

No truer words were ever spoken about John. I cannot remember when I first met him, but never forgot that smile. He met my father one day at the Hilltop and they talked forever about farming and being in the Korean Conflict at the same time. He was definitely someone to look up to. My sympathies.
