To Betty's Family..It is hard to put into words how much Betty meant to Del & I. We will cherish the times we shared. Going to church & quilting. Meals we shared together. Girls' time when we headed to Red Lobster for shrimp. She was the kindest, sweetest loving friend. Always hair perfect, makeup & clothes so she always looked great! Heaven now has a very special Angel. To know Betty was to love her. Our hearts are so sad, but she will always be in a corner of our souls!. Thank you ( her family) for sharing her with us. We will not be at her "celebration of life" because of family obligations out of state. We feel so bad about this...but we know Betty would understand, because she always put Family first! She was so proud of all of you. Her strong faith set a wonderful example to all. Thinking of you & sending love & blessings to all of you. Del & Sue Hughes

My time with Betty revolved around cards - Hand and Foot. Mom (Clara Petersen), Dad (Jim Petersen) and I learned the game from friends in Florida and Mom/Dad taught it to Betty and Kenny and we've all been playing it for years. Mom/Dad and Kenny/Betty brought in many New Years playing cards. I would join them throughout the year - whenever I was home. We continued on when we lost Kenny and then when we lost Dad. Carol and Anita also got hooked on the game so we shall continue the tradition of playing cards. I shall miss playing at Betty's house - pulling out the table, bringing out the TV trays, putting out the snacks and beverages, getting out the cards and shuffler... Good times and wonderful memories.
