West Liberty, Iowa E. Marie Novy, 82, died Wednesday September 4, 2014 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Funeral service will held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12 noon to 2 P.M. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Edith Marie Kessler was born August 29, 1932 near Perlee, Iowa the daughter of Arthur and Thelma Coil Kessler. She attended Pleasant Plain #6 country school. On August 28, 1951 she was united in marriage to Arlis “Bud” Novy in Bentonville, Arkansas, he died in 1989. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Muscatine where she served as Chairman for many years, Marie also had served as a volunteer in the community. She is survived by a brother Joe (Mary) Kessler of Fairfield, Iowa and sister Josephine Ferrel of Booneville, Arkansas, two half sisters Marjorie (Mike) McMillin and Dixie (Floyd) Watson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud, brother and sister-in-laws: Bill and Wilma Kessler, and Tommy and Darlene Bouse, Brother-in-laws: Donald Ferrel and Ron Wright and a nephew Scott Wright.
