Maria was a lovely person who brightened my day whenever I saw her. Loved having the family as a neighbor for many years and watching the kids grow up. The flowers that she planted were beautiful and the fruit trees are still there.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Maria. She touched so many lives and will be thought of often and loved forever. May your many wonderful memories of her life be of great comfort. We have received comfort and help from Bible verses such as this one recorded in John 5:28. It reads “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his (Jesus Christ) voice and come out.” The death of a loved one is extremely painful but have faith in God Jehovah’s promise of a resurrection. May the God of all comfort give strength and his love to each of you.

Maria was my second mom. She was always kind and forever welcoming. She would offer me food whenever she saw me (which was often) and say "Eat, eat, you're too skinny!" and she was right, I was too skinny. Her food was the best though, so I didn't mind. She always had a smile on her face and her smile was contagious. I'm sure we drove her crazy at times between running up and down the street between Take 2 Video & La Mexicana when we were kids and the late nights as we got older, but you would never have known it. To my second family, the Elizondo's, I'm so sorry for your loss. Maria made the world a better place and I will never forget her. Rest in peace, Mama Joe.
