Obituary of Michael Dean Smith

Michael Dean Smith, 64, of West Liberty, Iowa passed away suddenly on June 30, 2023 at his home on the Smith family farm.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty, Iowa.

Michael was born November 7, 1957 in Iowa City, Iowa to Kenneth and Marietta (Hepker) Smith. He was a 1976 graduate of West Liberty High School and attended MCC in Muscatine, Iowa. He spent his career in retail and enjoyed antique hunting and restoring them. He also had a passion for cars, especially Lincoln Town cars.

Michael is survived by his sisters, Elaine Jeambey of Muscatine, Karla Grady of West Liberty, and Brenda Berg of New Liberty. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Kenlyn Miller, and a nephew William Ford.
