Obituary of Andrew Lloyd Abby

Andrew L. Abby, 48, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home.

Andrew was born March 20, 1975 in Iowa City the son of Lloyd and Judy (O'Connor) Abby. He attended Iowa City High School. Andy had worked in the auto body painting business before his long career as a tattoo artist; working in various locations before his current job at Dreamscape Tattoo Studio in West Liberty. He enjoyed drawing, having several comic books published and continually working on his drawings and portfolio. He also enjoyed making small model statues.

He is lovingly survived by his siblings: Anthony Abby (Donna), Annette Abby, Alisha Abby (Brandon Harper), Amelia Abby, Brady Abby and Lindsy Sedlacek, many nieces and nephews as well as a great niece and great nephew. He is also survived by his tattoo family at Dreamscape. Andy was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life memorial visitation will be held 12:00 to 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the West Liberty Community Center, 1204 North Calhoun St.  West Liberty, Iowa.
