Obituary of Javier Gamon Ramirez

Javier Gamon Ramirez, 61, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at him surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held 4:30 to 8 P.M. Friday, June 30, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty. Funeral mass 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Church.

Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty.

Javier was born May 27, 1962 in Ignacio Allende, Durango Mexico the son of Rogelio and Vicenta (Ramirez) Gamon. On December 27, 1982 he was united in marriage to Enedelia DeLaPaz in Muscatine. He had been employed with Louis Rich, West Liberty Foods and his final love and passion was working at All American Concrete.

After much dedicated work Javier received his 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, he enjoyed working out, soccer and playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Enedelia, two children: Cynthia (Tiburcio) Murguia and Javier R. (Rosario) Gamon and five grandchildren: Andres, Arely and Mia Murguia, Leah and Javier Mateo Gamon. Parents: Rogelio and Vicenta Ramirez Gamon, siblings: Jose Gamon, Noel Gamon, Manuela Estrada, Antonio Gamon, Minerva Cruz, Maria DeLaLuz Estrada, Socorro Navarrette and Vicente Gamon. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Gonzalo and Maria DeLaLuz Ramirez.
