I cannot express how devastating it was, when I heard of your passing. I will never understand why good people, like Mike, don’t live to be hundreds of years old. Such a wise old sage. He was kind and thoughtful and always had such calming words for whatever the subject matter. When his posts didn’t show up in my feed, I would always look for his posts because they always gave me an uplift. I have lost several FB friends this year but Mike will always be the one I will miss the most.

Just learned the sad news of the passing of our FB friend, Mike Borgstadt. He was brilliant, possessed a sharp intellect, was thoughtful, kind with a robust sense of humor. I will miss him. My sincerest condolences to Mike's family in your sorrow. Hope it comforts you to know how much he was loved.

Mike left an I indelible impression on me, and I will miss him in so many ways! I have been fb friends with him for a long time, and a finer friend I could never find!! He was the whole package: astute, creative, philosophical, caring and a defender of humankind! I will miss his insightful poetry, quirky drawings (He inspired me to do my art!), political insight, sense of humor and his quest for knowledge. He was intensely curious about everything!!! Mike also was an animal lover and in his youth trained dalmatians. He shared some photos of himself with these fine dogs. I hope Mike is now satisfied to now know what it is like in the Heavenly realm because that was upmost on his mind as of late. We shall all miss him intensely. He shared so much of himself through his creativity and so wanted to touch us!! That he did and enriched our lives in the process. Mike will live in our hearts forever. He loved his friends and family wholeheartedly and expressed his love often. I know he appreciated how much he was cared about. I know Mike tried his best to live as long as possible, not wanting to leave his friends and family without him, but, alas, we all only live until our destiny takes over. Mike made the most of his time with us. I just wish it had lasted even longer!! The picture I am posting is an early drawing of mine which expresses my feelings about Mike right now...
