Obituary of Wayne John Ramholz

Wayne J. Ramholz, 81, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at Trinity West In Rock Island.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 23, 2023 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty.

Wayne John Ramholz was born August 8, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois the son of John and Alberta (Dunlap) Ramholz. Following the death of his mother Wayne lived with his aunt Dolly and for the last 40 years with his long time friend and caretaker David Ross.

Wayne was an avid Cubs fan and also loved the Iowa Hawkeyes. 

The highlight of the year for Wayne was Thanksgiving and Christmas when he would come to the family dinner. He would greet everybody with a handshake and tell the ladies they were beautiful. He also loved to give the blessing before dinner was served. 

He is survived by his caregiver and very special friend Dave Ross as well as first cousins, Lucille Nealson and Barb De Good, and many 2nd and 3rd cousins. We will remember him fondly.
