Alejandro “Alex” Garcia, 53, passed away Saturday,  November 26, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty. Funeral mass will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Church.

Alejandro was born September 13, 1969 in Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Ramon and Celia (Sanchez) Garcia. He was a 1988 West Liberty High School Graduate. In 1996 he was united in marriage to Teresa Garcia in West Liberty. He had been employed with Lear Corporation in Iowa City for many years, the last 4 years he was employed with L.L. Pelling Co.

He was an Iowa State University fanatic, playful, hardworking, enjoyed working around his home and yard, traveling to Mexico, always willing to lend a hand. One of the most selflessness and caring person. He was a man with a good heart, he will be missed dearly by many.

He is survived by his loving wife Teresa Lopez de Garcia of West Liberty, mother Celia Sanchez, three siblings: Adolfo (Mary) Garcia of Iowa City, Elfido Garcia of Iowa City and Maria (Jose) Garcia of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
