Iowa City, Iowa Michael K. Streets, 51, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation will be 9:30 – 11:00 AM on Saturday before the service. Burial will be at the West Branch Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or Systems Unlimited. Michael was born June 5, 1963 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Larry and Karen Oyler Streets. He lived at home until age 19, and then moved to Systems Unlimited in Iowa City. He attended Nelson Development Centers and the Systems Unlimited Learning Center. He later spent much of his time at Employment Systems. Michael was a people oriented person. He enjoyed being with friends and family during holidays and other gatherings. He also enjoyed country music, tractors and other large farm machinery, and watching football at home. He is survived by his father Larry (Jeannie) Streets of West Branch; sisters: Kathy (Mark) Worrell of West Branch and Kim (Mark) Ford of Charlotte, North Carolina; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Karen Streets, and grandparents: Clarence and Ruby Streets, and Jasper and Eleanor Oyler.
