So sorry to hear of your families loss. I worked with Joe at Procter & Gamble for quite a few years and trained alongside of Joe. He taught me the art of making Head and Shoulders cream shampoo on a very manual and labor-intensive making system. He was well known for his attention to detail and work ethic. He had a very serious demeanor about him when I first started working with him but eventually was able to make him laugh and smile on occasion, usually after hearing stories of my Hijinx over the weekends. I always enjoyed chatting with Joe in his retirement when I would see him out and about.
