Audrey E. Noring, 82, died Monday June 30, 2014 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. July 3, 2014 at the First Church United in West Liberty. Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 7 P.M. at the First Church United, 1100 North Calhoun St., West Liberty. Burial will be in the Pee Dee Cemetery, near Springdale. Audrey was born June 4, 1932 near Springville, Iowa the daughter of Herbert and Letty Sullivan Pollock. She was a graduate of Springville High School in 1950 and attended Iowa State Teachers College. On September 22, 1951 she was united in marriage to Wayne Noring in Central City, Iowa. Audrey farmed with her husband Wayne in Cedar County for many years.
She was a member of the First Church United where she was a Sunday School teacher, Open Prairie Chapter of D.A.R. in Cedar County, Hartupe Social Club, Fortnightly and Ci-Mota. She was involved in 4 H through her entire life and was a volunteer for the school reading program through R.S.V.P. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her husband Wayne of West Liberty. Three children: Dennis (Charlene) Noring of Jefferson City, Missouri, Craig Noring and his special friend Sue Henderson and Lisa (Curt) Newcomb of West Liberty. 6 Grandchildren: Christopher (Brook) Noring, Sean Newcomb, Benjamin (Sarah) Newcomb, Levi Noring, Zachary Newcomb and Danielle (Tyler) Madsen. 4 great grandchildren: Nola, Audrey, Letty and Sawyer Noring. Two sisters: Virginia Tudeen of Bettendorf, Iowa and Rebecca Fritz of Postville, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister Nancy.
