Olds, Iowa J. Mark Ruzek, 51, of Olds and formerly West Branch died Monday June 23, 2014 at his home. Funeral service will be held 11 A. M. Friday June 27, 2014 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City. Joseph Mark Ruzek was born November 27, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Joseph and Esther Fowler Ruzek. He was a graduate of West Branch High School in 1981 and received his Masters degree from the University of Iowa where he was a member of the Marching Band. He was employed with the Defense Contract Audit Agency as a Certified Public Accountant. He was an Iowa Hawkeye Fan, enjoyed playing cards, pool and camping. Survivors include two sisters: Debra (Danny) Fuhrmeister of Iowa City and Tammy Ruzek and her significant other Tracy Frantz of West Branch. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Beverly Nutt and a infant brother Danny Joe.
