West Liberty, Iowa Betty J. Gaunt, 73, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty with visitation 10:00 AM to 12:00PM before the service. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Betty was born June 6, 1941 in Iowa City, the daughter of Roy and Georgia McKillip Yeggy. She was united in marriage to Harry F. Gaunt. Betty enjoyed taking trips to the boat, playing cards and BINGO. She is survived by her daughter Tina (Robert) Slutts of Muscatine, Iowa, son Bob Gaunt of Muscatine, and daughter Debbie (Riley) Lilly of Pollock, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Roy Yeggy of Atalissa, and sisters: Mary Sprague of Muscatine, Elizabeth Hollenbeck of Muscatine and Sherry Goodrich of Independence, Iowa, sister-in-law Joan Yeggy and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, brother Dick, sister Patty, an infant brother Bobby and companion Sherwood Terry.
